What is HyperSnap?

HyperSnap is a screenshot tool for Windows operating systems. HyperSnap combines professional screenshot applications with advanced image editing tools to create an easy-to-use tool!

Regarding the new features added in version 9. x:

Supports opening and saving WEBP format files.

New feature in version 9.2: Screen OCR, which can recognize and copy editable text from the screen or image. It is based on the open-source Tesseract OCR project. The OCR feature in the free trial version of HyperSnap 9 has no restrictions and can be fully used without a HyperSnap license.

Screen Magnifier (added in version 9.1) - Like a magnifying glass, it can enlarge the area around the cursor, making it easier to click on small elements. You can open it under the "Settings" ribbon tab or in the "Quick Access" toolbar at the top.

Automatic Backup - In HyperSnap, all new screenshots and all images you edit are automatically backed up to a backup folder and kept there for a few days (default is 7 days) before being automatically deleted to free up space. We will no longer lose screenshots or image editing due to unexpected program exits, system crashes, power outages, and other reasons. For more information, please refer to "Automatic Backup" under the "File" menu.

When drawing lines, arrows, rectangles, polygons, etc., holding down the Ctrl key can snap to vertices and line segment midpoints. Simultaneously holding down the Shift key can limit drawing to horizontal, vertical, or 45 degree angles. Arrow drawing has a "polyline" mode, which allows a series of connected lines to be drawn as a single object and ended with an arrow. There are new options for text and annotation objects, which allow for vertical centering of text within boxes.
